It is not every day you get asked to give a lecture in France at Versailles. When I was asked by the French Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (SOFCEP) to present at Versailles my talk on Finesse in Ethnic Rhinoplasty, I was humbled and honored! I have previously lectured to this prestigious society talks virtually during COVID, so being there in person was a treat.
The French are very particular about the finesse in their cosmetic surgery outcomes. I know; I trained with one of the best French plastic surgeons, Dr. Daniel Marchac, in Paris many years ago. I learned a lot for him about facial and body aesthetic surgery. It was my time to give back. I enjoyed giving my talk to a very discerning audience and was happy with the wonderful feedback. The talks were all very informative and the discussions spirited.
As I reflect on my experience lecturing on Finesse in Ethnic Rhinoplasty at Versailles, I am filled with a deep sense of gratitude and satisfaction. The opportunity to present before the esteemed French Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (SOFCEP) in person was an honor I will cherish. Having trained under the guidance of the renowned Dr. Daniel Marchac in Paris, it felt like a full-circle moment to contribute my knowledge to such a discerning audience.
I believe one learns as much from side conversations and drawings on napkins as we learn from the lectures from the podium, so exchanging techniques while waiting for a lecture to start or in the exhibit hall were equally enlightening. I was happy to connect with plastic surgery colleagues from around the world and catch up.
