Microneedling is the latest in skin therapy system to improve the appearance of fine lines, acne scars, stretch marks, pore size, and surgical scars. The advanced skin needling technology utilizes multiple needles to pierce the skin. The adjustable needling depth allows the practitioner to control the treatment intensity and allows for the ability to focus on troubled areas. The microneedles cause new collagen and elastin to be deposited (collagenesis), new capillaries to be formed (angiogenesis) and new skin cells to be created. The vibrating function increases the effectiveness of treatment by increasing absorption of products while reducing pain and discomfort.
Prior to treatment, a topical numbing cream is applied for about 30 to 40 minutes. Once the area is numb, the cream is removed and the skin is prepped for treatment. The microneedling procedure itself takes about 20 minutes to complete. After the treatment, patients are provided with a post-care kit to help keep the skin hydrated and balanced for faster healing.
The number of treatments will vary per patient. As a general rule, we recommend at least four to six treatments to achieve optimal results.
A single treatment costs $500. A package of four treatments is $1800.
Add Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) to any microneedling treatment! PRP is a procedure in which a concentrated sample of your own blood, composed primarily of high levels of platelets, is applied to the treatment area to initiate tissue repair and regeneration. Platelets contain growth factors necessary to stimulate the tissue generation and repair.
To develop a PRP preparation, blood is drawn from the patient. The sample is placed in a sterile chamber and spun in a centrifuge to separate the platelets from the other blood cells. PRP can be topically applied or injected to aid in softening wrinkles, smoothing texture and tone, as well as tightening your skin. ($300 – $500 per treatment)
