Morpheus8 is a non surgical treatment that tightens and improves skin texture without surgery. It is a non-invasive treatment that uses insulated needles that combines micro-needling and radiofrequency energy to the target area of the skin to tighten and rejuvenate. Collagen is a protein that gives the skin its strength, elasticity, and firmness. As we age, collagen production slows down, causing the skin to lose that elasticity and firmness. Morpheus8 helps to reverse this process by boosting collagen production and remodels the skin, resulting in smoother, tighter, and more youthful-looking skin.
Prior to your treatment, your esthetician will use numbing cream to make you more comfortable. During the treatment, the Morpheus8 device is applied to the skin, and the needles are inserted to deliver the RF energy. The procedure is generally well-tolerated, but for those with a lower tolerance, Pronox may be administered during the treatment.
The treatment lasts about 30-60 minutes depending on the area treated.
After your treatment, we will apply a special ointment to protect your skin and recommend an appropriate at home post care regimen.
An initial consultation is scheduled where we discuss the Morpheus8 procedure, and whether you are a good candidate for the treatment. Your medical history is reviewed to ensure that you do not any medical conditions that would prevent treatment. You are given the opportunity to talk to patients who have had Morpheus8 treatments prior to the procedure. We will see you one month after the treatment to ensure that your recovery is uneventful and at the three month mark to evaluate your results. You are always welcome to come back for follow-up after your Morpheus 8 procedure free of charge.

This is a process that includes the pre-treatment preparation, the actual procedure, and the after care. Morpheus8 is a very sophisticated device with several automatic safety mechanisms. This makes the treatment exceedingly safe. Some patients may experience temporary numbness, tingling or a mild burning sensation after the treatment, but this typically resolves quickly. Uncommonly, some patients can have nerve sensitivity and moderate pain afterwards, which can usually be managed with oral analgesic or topical anesthetic medications.
Staying out of the sun and protecting your skin with sunscreen is a must for at least one week after treatment. We recommend not using makeup for at least three days since the channels of your pores are open. Yes, beauty filters on Instagram are fine, just no use of the beauty blender in your makeup bag that probably needs a good rinse.
Our office will provide you with a detailed post-treatment instruction sheet that will be individualized to your needs.
Many of our patients report seeing good results one day after their first treatment. However, we still recommend a series of treatments, spaced out several weeks apart to see the drastic results Morpheus8 can achieve. Results technically aren’t permanent since we still continue to wrinkle as we age, but depending on individual factors such as age and skin condition, results can last for over two years.
