Laser tight is a revolutionary technique for laser assisted liposuction utilizing a special laser that melts the fat cells before suctioning them out and tightens the skin at the same time. By melting the fat before suctioning, the procedure results in minimal swelling, bruising and pain and can be done under local anesthesia in our office. Most Laser Tight patients have returned to work the next day!
Many patients choose to have Laser Tight liposuction performed on a variety of sensitive areas, including the chin, neck, armpits, upper arms, abdomen, hips, buttocks and thighs. Its concentrated laser energy helps ensure unsurpassed liposuction precision, yielding beautiful, natural-looking results.
Laser Tight uses a revolutionary laser which is designed to tighten the skin as it suctions out the fat.
This procedure is perfect for patients who would like to have about 1-2 lbs of fat removed, have little loose skin and cannot afford much down time. The procedure takes about 1-2 hours to perform under local anesthesia in our office.
LaserTight has several FDA clearances for uses in plastic surgery, dermatology, general surgery, and ophthalmology. It is currently the only laser cleared by the FDA for performing lower eyelid lifts (blepharoplasty).
Laser Tight liposuction utilizes a 980 nm. diode laser to target hard-to-reach, stubborn fatty deposits or large, soft tissue areas. The laser, in combination with a set of cannulas and fibers, delivers laser energy to vaporize fatty deposits and tighten skin.
Unlike traditional liposuction that uses cannulas to remove fat cells, Laser Tight liposuction breaks up persistent fatty deposits through vaporization to promote a gentler method of fat loss. In addition to removing fat, the procedure encourages tissue tightening after the procedure to help patients achieve firm, lean physiques.
Our office will provide a comprehensive post-surgery plan to ensure the best possible outcome. The plan will include what to expect postoperatively, such as estimated recovery time, pain management, garments or dressings, and anticipated activity level. For your safety, we require that an adult stay with you at least the first 24 hours after surgery and drives you to your next day follow-up visit. With most procedures, you will be instructed to limit activity for the first week or two, which could include restrictions on driving, prolonged travel and flying. In addition, we ask you refrain from exercise until cleared by the physician, usually around four weeks post-op. You are asked to refrain from smoking for a minimum of two weeks. To optimize healing, we recommend that you eat a high protein diet. You should anticipate a variable degree of bruising and swelling, as with any surgical procedure; light make-up may be used to cover bruises starting a week after surgery. We also offer scar creams at an additional cost to optimize results.
To promote healing and minimize complications, you will be seen in a series of post-op appointments, including the day after surgery. These appointments will continue throughout the first year after the procedure to make sure you are healing as planned. For your added convenience, you also have direct access to Dr. Bitar’s cell phone number if you need to reach him after hours. The final post-op visit, one year after surgery, is one of our favorites since the results are fully apparent and we love seeing our patients happy. You are always welcome to come back and see us, even years after your surgery.
